Oh and for the people who mention my job is currently hell: totally agree, but it’s paying off my student loans.Joe Wainer Updated 2 months ago Microsoft Word: Give life to your words! I downloaded it today and I laughed out loud at how awesome it is.įor now I will wade in the water and at least the concern has be raised to my boss. I am hoping this will lead into another discussion shortly about work flow and migrating away from word completely.Īlso thank you to the people who mentioned Wordsflow for indesign. He shares the same notions about Word as we all do. He was pretty reassuring and told me this has been an issue with this specific client for quite some time and even before my time at the company. I also spoke with my CD this morning at our 1on1 and I told him my concerns. I really did not expect this many people to share the same distain as I do. Update: Thank you all for the abundance of replies. This is a general rant but damn I really can’t stand Word. This comes with a slew of design/troubleshooting problem I can’t even begin to explain. It is not intuitive and every single time you use it you find a new random problem that will take 20 mins to google.Įven worse, I have a client who needs newsletters designed in word that later needs to be copied and pasted into outlook. I know this has a real purpose for the client but Word is the worst program I have ever used in my entire life. This means I am expected to create a legit design and make it function in Word. I do many corporate reports each month and it seems like clients now want to be able to edit them once they are finished. The company I work for seems to have an influx of clients wanting their design work in Microsoft Word.
